the quest to end screen addiction

I have definitely raved about the joys of Meetup.com on my old blog, and it’s time to do it here!

If you haven’t heard of Meetup, it is a website where people create and join groups, and then they meet in the real world. You heard me… face-to-face interaction. It really saved me from becoming a complete hermit when J and I broke up and I moved out. I started my own group; we now have over 150 members and meet once or twice a week. It’s so great to meet people for real instead of relying on the computer.

Meetup has launched a quest to end what they are calling Screen Addiction. Check out Unplug Your Friends to send an intervention email to a friend who is scarily addicted to the internet and to watch a really fun claymation video about reentering the waking world!
