Sometimes I want to go back to Italy so badly it hurts.

This morning is one of those times.  I suddenly had a craving — which isn’t actually all that infrequent — to listen to this incredible song: Irraggiungibile by L’Aura.  I discovered it while in Italy in 2006 for my semester abroad.  After listening to that song about 10 times, I’m now listening to every song I have in my iTunes that is in Italian — about four hours worth, which mainly consists of the Sanremo 2006 collection, some Andrea Bocelli, some Giuseppe Verdi, and some hilarious Italian rap.

And all this fabulous Italian music is just making me go crazy with wanting to go back to Italy.  I was there for four months about two and a half years ago, but that wasn’t enough.  Isn’t enough.  Italy feels like home to me.

I’ve started looking into Graduate School — I’ll save the big GS debate for a post of its own — and there is one school in England that looks wicked awesome.  I’d be closer to Italy, and therefore way more able to visit semi-regularly.

Today, the school in England has risen to the top of the pack.

For some other great Italian music, check out: Zero Assoluto, Svegliarsi La Mattina; Deasonika, Non Dimentico Piu; and Ligabue, Le Donne Lo Sanno.
